I have kids so half of the space in our “medicine cabinet” is taken up by toothpaste. Are you saying there’s an essential oil replacement for brushing your teeth?

While this blog does not intend to offer scientific proof of essential oils, I do aim to educate about ways to use them – from my own and others experiences. doTERRA’s official blog however is an excellent resource and they back up many of their claims with scientific studies. Essential oils should never be used in place of medical treatment when dealing with more serious diseases. Rather, they are beneficial in helping with less serious ailments – like headaches, rashes and warts for instance.

From my own personal experience, I recently had a plantar wart on the bottom of my foot which in the past I’ve had to visit the doctor to have it dug out and frozen – VERY painful. This time I went ahead and scheduled an appt, but had to wait two weeks before a visit since it was over the holidays. During this time I applied Oregano oil to the wart every evening and in the mornings when I remembered. By the time I had my doctor visit, the wart was gone!
